Why am I anxious?
Anxiety is created when we worry or think negatively about a situation or event. You can WORRY about things that have happened in the past, present, or may happen in the future.
Perhaps you find that you spend much of your day negatively forecasting the future, worrying about what might happen.
Your mind can’t tell the difference between imagination and reality, so if you think the outcome is likely to be negative your brain will accept that as fact. You’re activating your fight/ flight response which will mean that you find it difficult to switch off and RELAX.

When you are anxious you can’t think with logic, reason or intellect. You think from a part of your brain that is negative. It will always see things from the worst possible perspective.
It’s constantly in a state of high alert looking out for the next thing to worry about. It’s common for people to feel as though they’re caught in a vicious circle, feeling like they are TRAPPED inside their heads with negative thoughts spinning around constantly.

I conduct my therapy sessions via Zoom so I am able to help people from a wide geographical area. However, I find many of my clients come for hypnotherapy in Peterborough and its surrounding areas.
